Cadet Security Officers - Combined Training & Employment Offer for Entry-Level Candidates

ACES is offering 'cadetships' with a combined training and employment program [includes security licensing training].

ACES provides training to dedicated and motivated staff and subject to satisfactory training outcomes ongoing employment.    This is a rare opportunity to receive training and employment as a security officer at high profile concerts, racing events and precinct security at fantastic venues in Sydney.

For example if you had you security licence now you could be working Bon Jovi, Hilary Duff, Iron Maiden, Sony Tropfest, Ozzy Osbourne, Keith Urban, Good Vibrations, Foo Fighters, or at the sites listed below   [note [there are restrictions on work for provisional employees related to supervision and competency].

In addition to security training [3 week Pre-Licensing training with mandatory minimum 77 hours in the classroom] cadets must also undertake a Senior First Aid course (1 day) and Responsible Service of Alcohol course (6 hours) organised for you.  All training fees are paid by ACES in return for an employment agreement - you must work for ACES for a minimum of 150 hours during a 12 month period including 8 nominated dates [large event dates including public holidays].  You are paid for all work, attendance at training is unpaid.    Training outcomes are not preferential, employed cadets are assessed in accordance with best practice assessment policies.

Essential Criteria:

• Criminal Record clearance [processed by ACES with NSW Police]
• Excellent written and verbal communication [must pass Language Literacy and Numeracy Test]
• Customer Service skills
• Be 18 years at the time of licensing application
• Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
• Possess basic PC skills
• Be able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays

Ranger & Ranger Security Officers .
ACES is seeking appropriately qualified and experienced staff to act at our contracted public precinct venues on permanent, permanent part-time and casual basis. Qualifications that are keenly sought include;

A varied role encompassing vehicles and foot patrols.

Applicants must be prepared to undertake additional training to fulfil the requirements of the position. Applicants must be available to work rotating rosters.

Essential requirements of the position include:

• Current NSW 1AC Security Licence.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Certificate II in security Guarding.
• Current NSW Full/Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence.
• Proficiency in using a computer including Microsoft Office packages specifically word.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
• Hardworking, reliable and customer focused.
• Excellent presentation and grooming.

Desirable requirements include:

• Current RTA Traffic Controllers Certificate.
• Current RTA Traffic Controllers at Work Sites Certificates
• SEINS
• Security Industry Experience.
