Venue Security Manager

ACESGroup is seeking a Venue Security Manager support, develop and lead our people at a high profile precinct in Western Sydney that hosts a diverse range of sporting & entertainment events and recreational activities. The security manager will be responsible for the overall safety and security performance of the venue, whilst ensuring a quality client service offering. The role works to a rotating roster, that can include weekends, early morning shifts and evening shifts.  

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership/Management

  • Effective leadership of a high performing team including Security guards, CRO’s and Rangers.  
  • Effective performance management, development, engagement and retention of team members
  • Ensuring compliance to policies and procedures at all times.

Security, compliance and administration

  • Ensuring compliance to the relevant contract and industry regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining safety and emergency management policies and procedures for the venue
  • Strategic input into security risk assessments and security management plans for venue related activities
  • Creation of management reports and compliance reports for the venue.

Client Relationship Management

  • Engaging with the client to build and maintain a strong relationship
  • Monitoring and auditing service delivery to maintain a high quality of service in line with contractual requirements
  • Understanding the security and safety needs of the client and promoting the ACESGroup value proposition
  • Tracking employee payroll costs (wages and salaries), to ensure compliance with budget requirements
  • Ensuring decisions reflect the ACESGroup brand, service offerings and contract requirements
  • Complying with audit standards as per the industry audit requirements.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience managing and leading teams in a high volume and fast paced business environment.
  • 5+ years’ working in a customer service focused industry as a Business Manager
  • Ability to drive results through performance management
  • Experience training and developing employees
  • Relevant experience in business management or project management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed computer and administration skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Good organizational skills and proven ability to establish priorities, manage tasks and meet competing deadlines whilst maintaining attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Valid NSW Security Licence 1AC
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Current NSW drivers licence
  • Working rights in Australia
