Security Crowd Controller (Events)

We are seeking Casual Security Officers for all types of events and activities across metropolitan Sydney. You can choose the type of work, when to work, where to work and how much to work – because ACESGroup has the most work and the most regular work – any day and all year round.

You will enjoy being part of making exciting events happen and being part of the entertainment on event days. Depending on the event, your training and experience and the position you are working, you will welcome people to the event, provide ticketing or credential access control at entry, check for restricted and prohibited items, roam through the crowd monitoring people, managing crowds and providing event and venue information, secure event perimeters, restricted areas including back of house, field of play, and performance areas or protect event assets or people. You will be part of large and small professional event teams with years of experience who love working events!

Full-time equivalent working hours plus opportunities for permanent flexible employment also available.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Provide general customer service including event information
  • Control access at entry and exit Maintain conditions of entry
  • Provide crowd direction and management
  • Monitor crowd behaviour and RSA
  • Monitor, respond and report relevant incidents
  • Secure restricted areas Protect event assets
  • Prepare general security records and reports.

Essential Criteria

  • Flexibility (events are dynamic) and availability (events are frequently evenings and weekends)
  • Enjoy working with people (customer centric approach)
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Fit and healthy
  • Security License (NSW 1AC)
  • First Aid Certificate (current)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (current)
  • Appreciate events, sport and entertainment!
