Due to recent growth we are building a new workforce for Western Sydney and are seeking motivated and experienced Aviation Security Officers, Control Room Operators and Supervisors for a ranger of roles at our aviation sites, including:
- Foot and Vehicle Patrols
- Gatehouse Access Control
- Control Room Operators
- Duty Shift Supervisors / Managers
These positions are available across a 24/7 rotating roster (day, night, weekend shifts), with flexibility for full-time or casual availability.
Candidates with current or prior experience in airport security operations are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patrols of terminal, perimeter, and airside/landside locations
- Control and monitor access points in accordance with airport security protocols and stringent regulatory requirements
- Operate surveillance, alarm, and communications systems from the control room
- Conduct ID and vehicle checks at gates and other critical points
- Respond to security incidents and escalate as required under SOPs
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with airport stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency services.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in aviation security or airport operations
- Strong understanding of airport security protocols and regulatory compliance
- High level of professionalism, observation skills, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer interactions calmly and professionally
- Ability to follow procedures under pressure and in dynamic environments
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Qualifications:
- NSW Security Licence (1A minimum)
- ASIC (preferred) or eligibility to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Driver’s Licence (vehicle patrol roles)
- Control Room/CCTV certification (preferred for control room roles)
- Willingness to undertake further qualifications (paid training available)
- Clean national police check and ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
