About the Role
ACESGroup is seeking experienced Event Control Room Operators to join our team in casual and full-time positions across Sydney’s most high-profile venues and events.
As part of our Event Operations team, you will be at the centre of live event coordination, monitoring safety, managing communications, and providing real-time situational awareness to ground teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Monitor large-scale event operations using CCTV and integrated security systems.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and critical events.
- Coordinate and communicate with on-ground personnel, ensuring clear and accurate information flow.
- Control access to restricted areas, maintaining compliance with event SOPs and accreditation protocols.
- Log and report incidents through digital systems with precision and accountability.
- Support emergency responses, assisting with coordination and information relay.
- Ensure all systems, communications, and technology remain operational and event-ready.
- Utilise ACESGroup’s proprietary technology platforms to enhance reporting and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with event control teams, management, and client representatives.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive under pressure, excel in communication, and enjoy the challenge of maintaining control and clarity in dynamic, fast-paced event environments.
Essential Criteria
- Current NSW 1A Security Licence (minimum 12 months).
- Proven Event Control Room Operator (CRO) experience: essential.
- Confidence operating within high-pressure, live-event environments guided by SOPs and real-time updates.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Availability for 24/7 rotating rosters, including weekends, nights, and public events.
- RSA Competency Card (current).
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Strong customer service skills and professional presentation.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
Desirable / or willing to obtain:
- Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Management Plan (ITMP) certifications.
- White Card.
- Fire Warden and Chief Warden training.
ACESGroup can assist suitable candidates in obtaining the necessary qualifications via our internal Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
